King Abdulaziz University Becomes the First Institution Outside North America to Earn CAHME Accreditation

 
 
King Abdulaziz University (KAU) has achieved a significant international milestone by obtaining accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). This makes KAU the first institution outside North America to receive this prestigious recognition for its Executive Master’s Program in Healthcare Administration.

The CAHME accreditation reflects the university’s dedication to excellence and the high standards of academic education in healthcare management. It also strengthens Saudi Arabia’s standing in administrative and technical healthcare affairs on a global scale.

The Executive Master’s Program in Healthcare Administration at KAU has been developed in accordance with the highest international standards. The program aims to prepare graduates to become future leaders and managers in various healthcare sectors, supporting the growing needs of the healthcare industry in Saudi Arabia.

Aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the program is designed to equip professionals with the necessary skills to navigate and lead change in the healthcare sector with innovation and professionalism. It emphasizes decision-making, problem-solving, and the application of innovative solutions within healthcare institutions. Additionally, the program provides students with the skills to conduct applied research in healthcare management and to develop professional communication abilities in healthcare settings.

KAU expressed its gratitude to the CAHME evaluation team, which included Dr. Zachary Pruitt, Dr. Attila Hertelendy, and Elizabeth McCament, for their efforts in ensuring the success of the accreditation process. The university also congratulated its academic team, including Dr. Fahad Al-Hazmi, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qurashi, Dr. Mohammed Al-Hanawi, Dr. Waleed Qattan, Dr. Ameera Qattan, and Dr. Noor Al-Sharif, for their contributions to this achievement.

It is worth noting that the program has also been accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. It is offered in a full-time format for both male and female students, with a study duration of two years.
