Induction week for fresh joiners inaugurated

An induction programme for the new students was inaugurated by Dr Abdullah Y. Obaid, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, at the Theatre of the Deanship of Student Affairs on Saturday 23rd February 2013. 

The programme is designed to give new joiners a glimpse of the campus life and aid them in fitting in the University as quickly as possible, according to Dr Obaid.
 
It will also give the new comers an insight into the housing eligibility criteria, in addition to other useful information about tertiary life, he also said. 

A workshop on how to choose a major will also be held, he also added. 
 
According to Dr Abdelmonem Alhayni, Dean of Student Affairs, the programme is designed to provide new starters with necessary information about the KAU's facilities, faculties, academic programmes and department admission requirements. To this end, an exhibition, orientation and meetings with the faculties' staff will be organised with the intention of making the new comers comfortable and zealous about this new life experience.
