Annual Forum for KAU Science Students launched

 

The Fourth Annual Forum for Science Students of King Abdulaziz University (KAU) was launched by KAU President, Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, on Saturday, February 2nd at King Faisal Convention Centre.
 
Prof Tayyeb said he was delighted with the students' submissions and presentations, stressing that the forum was in tune with KAU's policy of promoting scientific research.
 
He also described the event as a great opportunity for the students to present their research projects and creative ideas in various disciplines.
 
He also made a tour of an exhibition held on the sidelines of the event accompanied by Dr Ayman Fadel, Dean of Student Affairs, and some other senior executives.
  
Prof Mahmoud Al-Ahwal, chairman of the forum's executive committee, pointed out that the forum was in maintenance of KAU's efforts to support the academic quality projects and the development of higher education outcomes, and as an attempt to enrich the academic arena and raise the educational and cultural levels of students.
 
"Such forums encourage initiatives, participation and youth thoughts aiming at developing the research skills in the university students", he added.
 
Themes of the forum includes humanities and social science, basic engineering sciences and health sciences.
 
Additional activities include inventions, entrepreneurship projects, patents and some other art contests.
